BIO
Amir Sadollah, of Team Combat in Richmond, VA, attended J.R. Tucker High School (Richmond, VA) and later attended Jay Sargeant Reynolds Community College. His interest in mixed martial arts was spawned by a friend who was training in the sport at the time. Initially Amir viewed it solely as a way that he could stay in shape. Oddly enough, his love for the sport began to grow after he accepted a job as a surgical tech in the operating room at VCU Healthsytems where he noticed the similarities in personality between a surgeon and a fighter and it put into perspective the drive needed to succeed at one’s craft.
Amir admires the fighting style and demeanor of Mirko Cro Cop and hopes to emulate his idol while training on “The Ultimate Fighter.” A devoted MMA fanatic, Amir rarely is away from the gym, although he admits that recently he has taken up golf.
